Was talking with John at Wright Patt Credit Union and he mentioned he was going to be doing a chili for a cook off. I shared about this 15 minute chili.
It is Healthy and Fast
If you don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen but you want a healthy quick meal, this is just the blog for you!
This 15 minute - or less - recipe is low fat, is a good source of fiber, and tastes great. I use a electric skillet to make mine so I don't even have to turn on the stove.
15-Minute Chili
Minutes to Prepare: 15
Minutes to Cook: 15
Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients
1/2 cup, chopped Onions, raw
1 lb raw skinless Ground Turkey
1/4 tbsp Chili powder
1/4 tbsp Cumin
1 15 oz can Beans, red kidney
1 15 oz can Beans, pinto
1/2 cup Salsa
28 oz canned Tomatoes diced
Directions
Saute onions in oil large skillet in oil.
Add turkey, cutting with your spoon into bite size pieces. Brown turkey with chopped onion.
Rinse beans. Add beans, diced tomatoes, garlic, chili powder, cumin, and salsa to turkey mixture. Cook until hot.
Serve with cornbread, cooked pasta, cooked rice, or on top of a baked potato. Sprinkle with cheese if desired. Makes 8 servings.
