A recipe to love your heart with - Black Bean Burgers

Juanita Weaver-Reiss

Beans are a food that are good for your heart, weight, and health in so many ways. They are loaded with soluble fiber and insoluble fiber.

Soluble fiber slows down digestion. It can help to lower your cholesterol. The insoluble fiber makes the food move more quickly through the digestive tract.

Are you getting enough fiber in your diet?

For women, it is recommended that you get about 25 grams of fiber each day. Men should be aiming to get 38 grams each day.

1 cup of black beans would provide 4 grams of fiber per cup.
