The words you say make a difference
It may not seem like a big deal but the words we speak can affect our mindset and our intentions with weight loss and other health changes that we attempt to make permanent.
The words can mean the difference between being successful or if we decide to give up after trying to lose weight.
Just so you know - the words we choose...
some are very similar to other words
often the words are used interchangeably
Here is why this is important
the impact and effect the words have on actions and thought process make them very different from each other
the words provide different messages to our brains about our intentions
the difference between in the words can provide different actions and outcomes
The words you speak and think are not just words...
they are affirmations of what you believe to be true
they provide reasons for what you doing
they provide very strong reminders of what you what your outcomes of your behaviors to be
they can be a positive and strong path to our outcomes
Or the words can derail us and how we stick with a change we have chosen
When we say no to something, there is a difference between saying "I don't ...." and "I can't ....."
Saying "I don't eat ....." provides an affirmation of your willpower and your control in your pursuit of a goal
This is an empowering way to no to something
Saying "I can't eat ...." is a reminder of limitations and deprivation
Is a reminder that you are forcing yourself to do something you don't want to do
You are more likely to feel deprived of what you are giving up
The "I can't" is a draining way to say no
Saying "I don't ...."
will make it easier to say no
will make you feel empowered in your decision
help you resist temptations
lead to improvements in health
Just say "I don't ...."
